For one of our clients, a rapidly growing RetailTech scale-up based in Amsterdam, we are looking for an AI Automation Engineer to design and build intelligent automation solutions that will be deployed across multiple business functions.
The Role
You will be responsible for creating AI-powered copilots for internal business operations, designing workflows to automate repetitive tasks, and integrating AI services with various platforms such as ERP, CRM, e-commerce, and inventory management systems. Additionally, you will develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions, build scalable APIs for AI automation services, and continuously monitor and improve AI system performance while collaborating with engineering and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop AI-powered copilots for internal operations.
- Design workflows that automate repetitive processes and enhance decision-making.
- Integrate AI services with ERP, CRM, e-commerce, and inventory management platforms.
- Create Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions using enterprise knowledge sources.
- Build scalable APIs to support AI automation services.
- Monitor and evaluate AI system performance for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify impactful automation opportunities.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering or automation engineering.
- Strong skills in Python development.
- Experience in building APIs and backend applications.
- Proven experience integrating cloud services and third-party business systems.
- Familiarity with Large Language Models, Generative AI, or intelligent automation technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for practical AI solutions.
Nice to Have
- Experience with LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar frameworks.
- Knowledge of RAG architecture implementation.
- Familiarity with vector databases like Pinecone, Weaviate, Qdrant, or Chroma.
- Experience with workflow orchestration and process automation platforms.
- Integration experience with ERP, CRM, or e-commerce systems.
- Background in RetailTech, CommerceTech, or SaaS environments.
