The Role

As an AI Engineer, you will co-found and shape our new AI engineering team in NiCE Netherlands, influencing architecture, tooling, and culture from day one. You will train and fine-tune LLMs, SLMs, and other ML/DL models for compliance use cases, architect training pipelines, optimize inference pipelines, and evaluate emerging AI techniques.

Responsibilities

• Co-found and shape the AI engineering team, influencing architecture and culture.
• Train and fine-tune LLMs, SLMs, and other ML/DL models for compliance.
• Architect training pipelines that integrate with our data capture platforms.
• Optimize inference pipelines for cost-efficient AI capabilities at scale.
• Evaluate and implement emerging AI techniques into production.
• Ensure explainability and auditability of models from end-to-end.

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in Computer Science, AI/ML, or equivalent experience.
• Solid experience with modern ML/DL frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face).
• Experience in training and fine-tuning LLMs or SLMs.
• Strong NLP foundations applied to real-world problems.
• Familiarity with ML infrastructure and MLOps.
• Pragmatic mindset focused on production.

Nice to Have

• Experience in financial services, RegTech, or highly regulated domains.
