We are seeking a PHP Back End Developer to work remotely on a contract basis, implementing and maintaining essential backend services for high-traffic web applications. You will be responsible for developing and optimizing server-side logic to ensure the scalability and performance of applications that handle significant user interactions.
Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain PHP-based backend services and APIs to support web application functionality. • Optimize the existing codebase for performance, security, and scalability. • Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented PHP code following industry best practices. • Debug and troubleshoot issues across the application stack, including database queries and API endpoints.
Requirements
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in PHP development with strong proficiency in PHP 7.x or 8.x. • Experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter. • Proficiency in MySQL or PostgreSQL database design and optimization. • Experience with RESTful API development and integration. • Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git. • Knowledge of server environments (Linux/Unix) and deployment workflows. • Experience with caching mechanisms (Redis, Memcached) and background job processing. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
