As a Bus Cleaner, you will be responsible for washing and maintaining buses and equipment to ensure cleanliness and compliance with standards. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to work with various cleaning tools and machinery.
In this position, you will wash and clean buses and other equipment using water, cleaning agents, brushes, cloths, and hoses. You will inspect vehicles for cleanliness and damage, scrub and polish surfaces, and operate cleaning machines. Additionally, you will perform minor repairs and maintenance on vehicles and equipment, ensuring they are in optimal condition.
Responsibilities
- Inspect parts, equipment, and vehicles for cleanliness and compliance with standards.
- Scrub, scrape, or spray machine parts and vehicles using various cleaning tools.
- Mix cleaning solutions and operate cleaning equipment.
- Clean and polish vehicle windows and drive vehicles on company property.
- Lubricate machinery and perform minor repairs using hand tools.
- Monitor cleaning machines and report any malfunctions.
- Maintain inventories of cleaning supplies and transport materials as needed.
- Perform light facility maintenance tasks, including mowing and snow removal.
- Carry out other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Class A or B CDL with appropriate endorsements or willingness to obtain within 60 days.
- High School Diploma or GED.
