The Role

As a Buyer, you will be responsible for expanding Velocity’s supplier network and collaborating closely with the sales team to ensure customer component requirements are fully met. Your key responsibilities will include strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and procurement activities to secure competitive pricing and quality products.

Responsibilities

•

Manage the purchasing process and expedite materials from suppliers to ensure timely delivery and supply continuity.

•

Maintain strong supplier relationships while identifying, evaluating, and onboarding new vendors to support business growth.

•

Support the sales team by conducting vendor evaluations, sourcing components, reviewing datasheets, providing technical assistance, and negotiating pricing.

•

Continuously develop and strengthen vendor partnerships to improve service levels, pricing, and reliability.

•

Create, update, and manage purchase orders and VRMAs accurately within company systems.

•

Meet or exceed performance goals established by management.

•

Prepare and provide procurement and vendor performance reports as requested.

•

Proactively track and expedite inbound shipments to prevent delays and ensure on-time fulfillment.

•

Collaborate with the accounting team to verify payment terms and financial documentation with suppliers.
