The Role

We are looking for a Communications Specialist to join our global Communications team in Poeldijk, ZH, Netherlands. You will be the dedicated communications partner for our Customer, Supply Chain, and Enabling Functions, responsible for supporting the delivery of the communications strategy through tangible content and deliverables that make a real difference to the business. This hands-on role involves creating high-quality content, coordinating projects, and collaborating with stakeholders across markets and functions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver communication and engagement plans for key group programmes.
• Support the delivery of change and organisational communications, ensuring key messages are communicated clearly and consistently.
• Produce high-quality content in various formats, including press releases, newsletters, intranet pages, campaign materials, stakeholder updates, and video scripts.
• Manage core internal channels, including the company intranet and regular newsletters, enhancing internal communications.
• Assist with local town halls by creating content, key messaging, and presentation materials.
• Maintain relationships with trade publications and coordinate PR and content for external audiences to support Westfalia Fruit's positioning.
• Monitor industry media and flag potential opportunities or risks to team leadership.
• Act as a communications partner to market units and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the global narrative.
• Proactively identify content opportunities and create engaging visual and design assets as needed.

Requirements

• Background in a communications role, ideally within a corporate, FMCG, or agri-business environment.
• Proven experience managing intranets, newsletters, content management systems (CMS), and digital communication tools.
• Ability to balance internal employee engagement with external media and PR support.
• Experience coordinating and executing communication projects independently while collaborating with the wider team.
• Experience working across markets or within an international organization.
• Fluency in English required, with professional proficiency in French or German.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starting, adaptable working style with ownership of deliverables.
• Strong understanding of our company story, values, and ability to create compelling content.
• Excellent relationship-building skills with an enthusiastic and collaborative mindset.
