In this role, you will be crucial in maintaining regulatory compliance and operational excellence within customer onboarding, screening, and transaction monitoring activities. Accountabilities
- Manage customer onboarding and screening processes, conducting due diligence reviews on businesses and individuals across multiple regulated entities.
- Oversee and enhance transaction monitoring activities to support growing payment flows and evolving customer journeys while maintaining compliance standards.
- Develop, document, and continuously improve standard operating procedures related to KYC, screening, transaction monitoring, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with risk and compliance stakeholders on investigations, escalations, suspicious activity reviews, and regulatory reporting activities.
- Support internal and external compliance audits by preparing documentation, explaining processes, and ensuring readiness for assessments.
- Identify opportunities to optimize and automate operational workflows, partnering with product and engineering teams to implement scalable solutions.
- Analyze operational data to improve decision-making, strengthen controls, and enhance overall compliance effectiveness.
- Contribute to building a robust first-line compliance function that balances regulatory obligations with operational efficiency and customer experience.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in KYC, onboarding, compliance operations, or related functions within fintech, insurtech, financial services, or regulated environments.
- Strong knowledge of customer due diligence, screening processes, transaction monitoring, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify, assess, and escalate potential compliance risks and red flags.
- Experience building, improving, and documenting operational processes in fast-paced and evolving organizations.
- Strong analytical and data-handling skills, with the ability to derive insights from large datasets and support informed decision-making.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Comfortable operating in high-growth environments where priorities, processes, and responsibilities may evolve rapidly.
