Fluke Europe b.v. is looking for a Customs Coordinator to oversee all operational customs disciplines related to bonded warehousing, as well as the import and export of goods at Fluke’s European Distribution Center in Eindhoven. You will collaborate with two other Customs Coordinators and support Fluke factories and laboratories in achieving strategic objectives like integrations and projects.

The Role

As a Customs Coordinator, you will be part of the EMEA Customs team, consisting of three experienced colleagues. The team operates in an open and modern environment, fostering short and informal communication. You will receive a comprehensive introduction to your role and other departments, enhancing collaboration across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice on customs matters and licenses.
• Track changes and developments in customs regulations in the EMEA region.
• Serve as an escalation point for customs challenges across the EU.
• Maintain communication with customs authorities to foster positive relationships.
• Support and manage customs documentation, declarations, and identify compliance risks.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Continuously improve processes for efficiency and performance.
• Administer in-house customs systems (Descartes-GCT) and reconcile inventory with Fluke ERP (Oracle).
• Organize in-house training as needed to empower staff.
• Ensure staff are trained and informed of changes in regulations.
• Submit information for customs reclassification and reclaims.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Licensed customs broker, preferably with MCTA.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role in an international environment.
• Familiarity with NCTS, BW, IPR, OPR, IMA, IMZ, and GPA processes.
• Experience in EU HS code classification and applying GRI’s.
• Strong skills in MS Excel; familiarity with CMS Descartes-GCT and ERP Oracle is preferred.
• Knowledge of AEO criteria and maintenance of AEO standards.
• Proficient in Dutch and English (minimum C1 level), both written and spoken.
• Detail-oriented and structured worker.
• Critical thinker with decision-making capabilities.
• Open to proposing ideas and solutions.
