The Enabling Methods Lead is responsible for guiding War Child’s strategic and thematic initiatives related to Evidence-Based Methods (EBMs). This position ensures that the vision, quality, and innovation of the EBM portfolio align with the organization's strategy and sectoral standards.

The War Child Alliance is an international NGO dedicated to providing psychosocial support, child protection, youth empowerment, and quality education to children affected by armed conflict. We implement evidence-based interventions to foster children's wellbeing and self-determination across various countries.
The Role
In this role, you will oversee an assigned EBM portfolio, manage thematic coordinators, and ensure the quality of the programs. You will collaborate with various departments to maintain high standards and drive the continuous improvement of EBMs.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and vision in thematic areas, collaborating with other leads.
- Oversee the Partnership Journey for EBMs, ensuring quality and alignment with organizational priorities.
- Maintain thematic authority and quality assurance throughout the EBM Cycle.
- Influence resource allocation and prioritization for effective implementation and scaling of projects.
- Drive continuous learning and adaptation of EBMs using evidence and quality data.
- Lead thematic activities and communities of practice to promote collaboration and shared learning.
- Manage thematic coordinators, providing mentorship and performance oversight.
- Represent War Child externally, enhancing the profile of the EBM portfolio.
Requirements
- Relevant academic background in a related field.
- Experience in humanitarian or post-conflict contexts, leading thematic portfolios.
- Proven skills in program design, needs assessments, and quality assurance.
- Fluency in English; additional languages like Arabic, Dari, French, Spanish, or Ukrainian are a plus.
- Strong understanding of quality standards and evidence-based programming.
