TOPdesk is on the lookout for a seasoned Financial Controller to assist in executing global accounting operations, emphasizing consolidation, internal control frameworks, and external audit management. Reporting to the VP Global Controller, this role is pivotal in developing a scalable finance function that aligns with both strategic growth and operational efficiency.

The Role

In this position, you will take ownership of several key areas:

• Financial Consolidations & Reporting

  • Prepare consolidated financial statements in a multicurrency environment.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure comprehensive financial accuracy.
  • Oversee internal and external reporting, including lender reporting packages and coordination with FP&A.
  • Support statutory and tax filing requirements across international entities.

• External Audit Management

  • Manage the audit process, including the preparation of audited financial statements and PBC documentation.
  • Ensure audit readiness and serve as the primary contact for auditors.

• Policy, Process & Controls

  • Lead the implementation and management of the internal control framework.
  • Promote standardization and automation within accounting operations.
  • Develop global accounting policies and procedures and oversee global close governance.
  • Assist with the implementation and optimization of Netsuite ERP and other financial systems.

You will report directly to and collaborate closely with the VP Global Controller.

Requirements

Are you our new Financial Controller?

• Chartered Accountant required.
• Experience with Big 4 or national firm audits.
• 5-10 years of progressive accounting experience in a global, PE-backed company.
• Experience managing consolidation processes in a multicurrency environment.
• Strong background in managing internal controls and driving improvements.
• In-depth knowledge of Dutch GAAP / IFRS and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency with modern financial systems; experience with Netsuite is a significant advantage.
• Knowledge of sales tax, income tax, and transfer pricing is beneficial.
• Proven success in leading global close and internal control programs.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and operational skills across time zones and cultures.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is mandatory.

What We Offer

• Monthly salary between €5000 and €7000.
