Join the Clink Crew as our Food and Beverage Manager at Clink NOORD, Amsterdam, a design-focused social youth hostel renowned for its vibrant events and community spirit. In this role, you will oversee the performance, profitability, and compliance of our food and beverage operations, with a strong emphasis on kitchen management, food production, and bar operations.

The Role

You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food and drink quality, cost control, team leadership, and guest satisfaction in a bustling hospitality setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the F&B team.
• Oversee bar operations, ensuring service standards, product quality, and efficiency.
• Manage daily kitchen operations, maintaining consistent quality, presentation, and portion control.
• Ensure product offerings and menus align with brand standards and guest preferences.
• Control food and bar production, prep levels, and implement waste reduction strategies.
• Manage labor scheduling according to forecasted demand and revenue, including contract management and recruitment.
• Implement and uphold kitchen SOPs, cleaning schedules, and service standards.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments and senior management as required.
• Conduct regular kitchen audits and proactively address any issues.
• Drive sales by promoting table service and engaging with guests.
• Create a lively bar/café atmosphere that enhances the social vibe of the hostel.
• Participate in on-site events, promoting drink specials and engaging with guests to boost bar revenue.

Requirements

• Confident and sociable communicator with experience in high-volume environments.
• Team player willing to assist when needed.
• Strong understanding of cost controls, margins, and waste management.
• Proven experience managing a team in an F&B setting.
• Knowledgeable about food and beverage offerings.
• Passionate about creating memorable experiences for travelers.
• Eager to learn and grow through training and internal opportunities.
• Enthusiastic about working with a diverse team that values individuality and different perspectives.
