In this role, you will build ahead's presence in the Netherlands and Belgium, from initial retail conversations to scalable distribution. Your mission is to establish ahead in the Benelux trade, forge strong partnerships with key retailers, and create the structures necessary for growth across the region.

De Rol

You will navigate two unique retail landscapes: the concentrated, innovation-driven Dutch market with partners like Albert Heijn, Jumbo, and Dirk, and the multilingual Belgian market with players such as Colruyt, Delhaize, and Carrefour Belgium. Reporting directly to the Sales Director in Hamburg, you will collaborate closely with Trade Marketing, Key Account Management, and Category Management.

Verantwoordelijkheden

• Build and nurture strategic relationships with key retail partners in the Netherlands and Belgium.
• Lead listing negotiations, annual trade discussions, and distribution growth.
• Develop and scale relevant retail and drugstore channels across the Benelux markets.
• Analyze the retail landscape and create a clear growth strategy for both markets.
• Define pricing, assortment, and channel strategies for the Netherlands and Belgium.
• Plan and execute local trade marketing activities in collaboration with the ahead team.
• Identify, select, and manage distribution partners and brokers.
• Build a scalable field sales/merchandising structure.
• Take ownership of demand planning and forecasting for the Benelux region.
• Drive market performance and prioritize growth initiatives.

Vereisten

• Several years of experience in FMCG sales or key account management in the Netherlands and/or Belgium.
• Deep understanding of Benelux retail structures and trade dynamics.
• Experience in building a market or new category, ideally in a start-up or scale-up environment.
• Strong network of buyers and decision-makers in retail.
• Confident negotiator with experience in listings and trading terms.
• Strategic thinker with a hands-on mentality.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; French is a plus for the Belgian market.
