We are looking for a freelance Security Engineer to join a project for the Dutch Government. This role is unique as it emphasizes embedding security directly into the software delivery lifecycle rather than traditional governance or SOC operations.
The Role
You will be responsible for operationalizing security controls within GitLab pipelines and promoting a secure-by-default approach across the platform.
Responsibilities
- Implement security controls within GitLab pipelines.
- Drive a secure-by-default approach across the software delivery lifecycle.
- Integrate SAST, DAST, and CI/CD Security practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience with GitLab Ultimate.
- Familiarity with SAST and DAST tools.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD Security Integration.
- Experience in DevSecOps practices.
- Knowledge of security scanning and automation.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Ansible.
- Knowledge of secrets management and container security.
What We Offer
- Competitive rate of up to €100/hour.
- Long-term freelance assignment.
- One day in the office per week in Utrecht.
- Must be a Dutch speaker and holder of a Dutch passport.
