We are seeking an experienced Full-Stack Developer to participate in a short-term project focused on integrating our internally developed Qualification Dataset Register (QDR) tool into the environment of a new European Commission unit. This role involves technical integration, configuration, UI/UX customization, and the development of specific new features tailored to the new unit’s needs.

The Role

You will design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using Java (Spring Boot) for the backend and Angular for the frontend. You will lead the integration of the Qualification Dataset Register into the target environment and implement UI/UX customizations, developing ad-hoc features as required by the new unit. Additionally, you will build scalable, secure, and high-performance applications while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product owners, and stakeholders, to deliver seamless user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using Java (Spring Boot) and Angular.
• Lead the integration of the Qualification Dataset Register into the target environment.
• Implement UI/UX customizations and develop ad-hoc features as required.
• Build scalable, secure, and high-performance applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.
• Implement and optimize database operations for performance and reliability.
• Conduct testing, debugging, and support deployment activities.
• Proactively identify and implement improvements throughout the integration process.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in full-stack development.
• Strong proficiency in Java backend development (Spring Boot or equivalent frameworks).
• Expert-level experience with Angular for frontend development.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design, development, and integration.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding spoken and written English (C1 level or above).
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multi-cultural team environment.
