The Role

As a Functional Application Specialist, you will support engineering functionalities within our Computer Aided Design platform, focusing on Cadmatic Hull throughout the product lifecycle. Your role will drive efficiency and effectiveness in engineering processes.

Responsibilities

• Translate engineering business needs into functional specifications for application development.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze issues and devise solutions.
• Develop and implement application processes and functionalities.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and knowledge partners.
• Manage interfaces between applications and Cadmatic Hull.
• Administer user access rights within the application.
• Configure project environments within Cadmatic Hull.
• Manage catalogs, libraries, specifications, and other project-related data.
• Organize application-related training courses in coordination with the Manager Engineering Support.
• Provide functional support to PLM/CAD users regarding Cadmatic Hull.
• Prepare and develop Cadmatic training materials, application documentation, and user manuals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or proven competence in engineering, preferably in Shipbuilding.
• Proficiency with the Cadmatic platform.
• Knowledge of PLM principles and experience in functional application management is preferred.
• Excellent command of the English language; proficiency in Dutch is advantageous.
• Ability to work at the Vlissingen and Schiedam locations in The Netherlands.
• Excellent references, as a pre-employment security screening is standard.
