We are looking for an IT Support Intern to join us for a 6-9 month period at our Amsterdam office. This internship offers a unique opportunity to explore various tasks and disciplines within our international IT service desk. You will receive coaching from your manager and senior team members, along with training on daily IT support topics.

The Role

As an IT Support Intern, you will provide first-line support for IT and Facilities systems. Your responsibilities will include handling incoming service desk requests via phone and email, ensuring timely resolution of end-user issues, and maintaining service level agreements (SLAs). You will also document the problem-solving process, manage IT hardware, and liaise with third-party support and vendors.

Responsibilities

Provide first-line end-user support for IT and Facilities systems.
Field incoming requests to the Service Desk via telephone and email.
Record, track, and document the service desk request problem-solving process.
Support the management of IT hardware (Desktop/Thin Client/Laptop).
Maintain an inventory of all IT equipment.
Act as an escalation point for intermediate help requests.
Prioritize and schedule problems, escalating when necessary.
Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including software installation and upgrades.
Support the corporate phone system (VoIP) and mobile telecoms users.
Conduct preventative maintenance on workstations, printers, and peripherals.
Test fixes to ensure adequate problem resolution.

Requirements

Technical mindset with an interest in a career in IT.
Currently studying a vocational IT-related course in the Netherlands.
Ability to work onsite at our Amsterdam office.
Good communication skills in English.
Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
