We are looking for an IT Support Intern to join our Amsterdam office for a period of 6-9 months. This internship will provide you with exposure to various tasks and disciplines within a dynamic IT service desk in an international business environment. You will be guided by the manager and senior team members, receiving training on daily IT support topics.

The Role

You will be responsible for providing first-line end-user support for IT and Facilities systems. This includes handling incoming requests via phone and email, ensuring timely and effective resolution of user issues, and adhering to service level agreements (SLAs).

Responsibilities

Provide first-line support for IT and Facilities systems.
Manage incoming requests to the Service Desk via telephone and email.
Record, track, and document the service desk request problem-solving process.
Support the management of IT hardware (Desktop/Thin Client/Laptop).
Maintain an inventory of all IT equipment.
Liaise with third-party support and equipment vendors.
Act as an escalation point for intermediate help requests.
Prioritize and schedule problems, escalating as necessary.
Access software updates, drivers, and knowledge bases for problem resolution.
Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including software installations and upgrades.
Support the corporate phone system (VoIP) and mobile telecom users.
Conduct preventative maintenance on workstations, printers, and peripherals.
Test fixes to ensure problems are resolved adequately.
Perform post-resolution follow-ups with Level I Technicians as needed.

Requirements

Technical mindset and interest in a career in IT.
Currently studying a vocational IT-related course in the Netherlands.
Ability to work on-site at our Amsterdam office.
Good communication skills in English.
Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
