We are seeking a talented Senior Lead Developer to join our organisation. You will play a crucial role in assessing and reshaping an existing Next.js/Supabase proof-of-concept into a production-ready version. The Role
The project is a private member platform for a non-profit network, intended to support member discovery, profile management, community connection, events, resources, and mentorship workflows.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate the current state of the Next.js/Supabase proof-of-concept and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop a strategic plan to refactor and enhance the system towards a stable production version.
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with organisational goals.
- Lead technical discussions and make decisions on rebuilding or refactoring components for reliability and scalability.
- Document the changes made and update the system's technical documentation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in software development with a focus on Next.js and Supabase.
- Strong understanding of working with existing codebases and conducting technical audits.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders effectively.
- Ability to make pragmatic decisions in system redesign and refactoring.
- Familiarity with production deployment processes and performance optimisation.
