Your mission is to support War Child as a Legal Intern, providing legal assistance and gaining valuable experience in an international NGO environment. This role requires a commitment of at least three days a week.

The Role

You will engage in legal research and writing, focusing on contracts, branch office registrations, powers of attorney, and regulatory compliance. Areas of support may include anti-money laundering (AML), combating the financing of terrorism (CFT), governance, procurement, and intellectual property. You will work under the supervision of the Legal & Governance Advisor.

Responsibilities

• Assist with contract reviews.
• Maintain corporate information and the contract library, coordinating document legalisation.
• Research and support AML/CFT requirements.
• Review and research policy documents.
• Provide ad hoc support on legal issues such as data protection, intellectual property, and governance.
• Support projects within the legal team.

Requirements

• Academic Master's student, preferably in commercial law with a focus on corporate or contractual law.
• Must be enrolled in a Dutch higher education institution for the duration of the internship.
• Strong legal research skills across various issues.
• Proficient in legal drafting and document writing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Dutch, French, Arabic, or Spanish is a plus.
• Detail-oriented, independent, and quick to learn.
• Comfortable in a multicultural work environment.
• Affinity with War Child's mission.
• Based in the Netherlands, available for at least three days a week at the Amsterdam office, with potential remote work.
• Available to start in early April 2026.

What We Offer
