About the Company

The Role

In this role, the Mechanical Engineer will operate at the program level, supporting the design and coordination of mechanical systems across various data centre projects. You will collaborate closely with subject matter experts and design managers to assist in technical reviews, documentation, and project delivery from initial feasibility through to construction and handover. Your contributions will play a vital role in the continuous improvement and innovation of our data centre offerings, helping us maintain our market leadership.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Mechanical SME in upholding programme-wide standards, templates, procedures, and best practices for mechanical systems.
• Ensure alignment with local regulations, client requirements, and company protocols.
• Support project design managers in defining the mechanical scope of work for each project phase.
• Participate in data centre and substation projects from concept to detailed design, ensuring compliance with Owner’s Project Requirements and relevant regulations.
• Review consultant deliverables for safety, compliance, spatial coordination, constructability, and maintainability.
• Verify specifications and sizing of chillers, cooling units, ventilation systems, fire fighting systems, and fuel systems.
• Support technical bid reviews for contractors and equipment vendors.
• Provide technical assistance during procurement and construction phases, responding to information requests and aiding in design execution.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to align mechanical strategies with operational goals.
• Engage in technical workshops to communicate mechanical design strategies.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies in mechanical engineering and data centre design.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2 to 3 years of experience in Data Centres, preferably on the design or client side.
• Proficient in mechanical system studies, AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM360.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in English.
