The Role

You will serve as the technical link between our internal teams and external automation partners, directly influencing the success of our 5-year automation roadmap. Your expertise will ensure that each automated system is robust, validated, and fully integrated into our production environment.

Responsibilities

•

Author comprehensive User Requirement Specifications (URS) with detailed mechanical performance criteria.

•

Define mechanical interfaces between automated stations, including part transfer mechanisms and thermal management requirements.

•

Review and technically challenge designs from machine builders for nests, grippers, fixtures, and tooling.

•

Specify machine safety systems in accordance with international standards.

•

Conduct critical design reviews of mechanical designs from machine builders.

•

Review and approve GD&T drawings, ensuring compliance with manufacturability and assembly standards.

•

Evaluate mechanical designs for manufacturability and automated assembly.

•

Develop and execute mechanical test protocols for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).

•

Collaborate with Contract Manufacturers for equipment Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and Validation Testing.

•

Establish preventive maintenance schedules based on mechanical wear analysis.

•

Create mechanical systems and acceptance criteria for Contract Manufacturers.

•

Maintain machine performance dashboards tracking OEE, MTTR, and relevant mechanical performance indicators.
