The Role

As a driver planner, you are the linchpin between planning and execution. Within our ICP department, you ensure that 60 dedicated drivers are efficiently deployed on international routes throughout Europe. You translate transport planning into optimal utilization of our dedicated charter drivers. Daily, you weigh availability, regulations, customer requests, and last-minute changes. Thanks to your overview and decisiveness, our international transports keep moving; you contribute to this.

How do you achieve this? By taking charge of our drivers' deployment every day. You match the right driver to the right international trip, coordinate with colleagues at other locations, and ensure that our resources are optimally utilized. Together with your team, you ensure that the planning remains accurate, even when the day doesn't go as expected. You accomplish this by:

Connecting drivers and charters to international routes, considering rest times, ADR, required trailers, and complex routes with multiple loading addresses.

•

Monitoring vehicles and routes daily, anticipating deviations.

•

Solving last-minute issues, collaborating with other DSV locations, and organizing alternative solutions.

•

Processing planning, updates, and administration in Excel.

•

Contributing to special logistics projects, such as relocations within the Netherlands and unique assignments from our Air & Sea or Contract Logistics divisions.
