Compton Technologies BV is a deeptech start-up with a highly ambitious goal: to develop and commercialize a compact Inverse Compton Scattering (ICS) x-ray source. This unique source combines cutting-edge linear accelerator technology with ultrashort laser pulses to generate tunable, high brightness x-rays on-site. This new technology will bring synchrotron-grade capabilities to the lab, enabling breakthroughs in semiconductor metrology, energy materials development, and biomedical imaging.

De rol

We are looking for a hands-on X-ray Beamline & Applications Specialist to bridge the gap between our unique x-ray source and real-world customer needs. In this role, you will work at the interface of physics, engineering, and customer applications. You will help determine how the generated x-rays translate into performance across different x-ray modalities, including scattering, spectroscopy, diffraction, imaging, and related techniques. You will collaborate closely with our R&D team and potential customers to define high-value applications, establish beamline and experiment requirements, and communicate the capabilities of our source.
