The Quality Assurance Specialist will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with all country-specific European laws and food industry standards for our product range. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with knowledge of packaging and labeling requirements, along with experience in quality assurance within the food sector. You will collaborate with the QA team lead to establish a robust and efficient QA function at Samyang Foods Europe.

Qualifications

•

Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, or a related field.

•

Knowledge and experience in packaging and labeling regulations.

•

Up to 5 years of experience in quality assurance within the food or FMCG industry.

•

Extensive understanding of European food regulations and standards, with experience in interpreting and applying country-specific requirements.

•

Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills to convey complex regulatory requirements to internal and external stakeholders.

•

Fluent in English; proficiency in additional European languages is a plus, and professional level in Korean is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

•

Regulatory Compliance Execution

•

Monitor compliance with all relevant EU and country-specific food safety regulations, recommending internal updates, including compliance for packaging and labeling processes.

•

Execute quality management systems (QMS) to ensure compliance across all markets.

•

Stay informed on emerging food safety regulations and industry best practices, translating them into actionable compliance strategies for Samyang Foods Europe.

•

Maintain regular and transparent communication with our production and head office in South Korea.

•

Quality Assurance Management

•

Oversee quality processes by monitoring test reports, certificates, and necessary quality documents.

•

Maintain quality management systems to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

•

Stakeholder Communication and Issue Resolution

•

Serve as the primary contact for wholesalers, retailers, and consumers regarding product quality inquiries, regulatory questions, and complaints.

•

Provide timely responses to customer inquiries and concerns, ensuring all communication reflects Samyang’s commitment to quality and compliance.

•

Documentation and Reporting

•

Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for all quality assurance activities, including compliance records and corrective actions.

•

Regularly report to senior management on quality metrics, regulatory updates, and areas for improvement.
