About the Company

Sensip-dx is a Maastricht-based start-up focused on developing cutting-edge technology to detect living bacteria much faster—approximately 15 minutes instead of the traditional 2-3 days. Our initial application targets the food industry, aiming to enhance food safety, minimize waste, and streamline processes for food companies. We are a small, enthusiastic team dedicated to bringing our technology to market.

The Role

As a Microbiology Laboratory Technician, you will support our R&D team in the BSL-2 / ML-1 laboratory with microbiological experiments and testing activities. Your responsibilities will include:

•

Working with pathogenic bacteria following strict safety protocols.

•

Culturing aerobic and anaerobic bacteria for testing, including samples from -80 °C, -20 °C, and climate chamber storage.

•

Conducting experiments using our new bacterial detection method.

•

Performing control tests, such as CFU/ml determinations using traditional plating methods.

•

Autoclaving and safely processing used materials.

•

Accurately recording results in spreadsheets and lab documentation.

•

Observing and contributing ideas to other aspects of the Sensip-dx R&D program.
