As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at US Renal Care, you will be a vital member of a collaborative team dedicated to delivering care and performing delegated treatment activities for patients with renal failure. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN).
Responsibilities
•
**Patient Care**: Engage directly with patients to deliver safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatment. This includes gathering patient statistics before and after treatment, initiating and monitoring treatment, terminating treatment, and collecting blood samples as per physician orders.
•
**Technician Duties**: Prioritize quality by preparing machines for hemodialysis treatments, cleaning and disinfecting machines post-treatment, and conducting safety checks while logging results for quality control. Ensure compliance with all protocols and regulations.
•
**Safety and Quality**: Implement appropriate safety measures, including the use of personal protective equipment. Under the guidance of a Charge Nurse, adhere to all company policies, procedures, and state/federal laws and regulations. Participate in required staff meetings and continuing education opportunities.
