The Role: Under the direction of Section Head EMTS, the incumbent will perform duties including:
•
Organizing, leading, planning, directing, controlling, and coordinating all work aspects related to the TEMPEST level testing program.
•
Directing and guiding all installation, modification, certification, and maintenance of the TEMPEST testing facility.
•
Performing TEMPEST level testing to the SDIP 27 standards of COTS data processing equipment for classified information.
•
Providing technical expertise in all aspects of TEMPEST Level testing.
•
Executing tests and evaluating Electric Radiation (ER) signals for Compromising Emanations (CE).
•
Conducting investigations to detect CE that may disclose classified information.
•
Performing acceptance testing of TEMPEST equipment certified by NATO authorized vendors.
•
Ensuring familiarity with relevant SDIP's and Agency Directives.
•
Directly exchanging technical TEMPEST-related topics with the NATO Cyber Security Centre.
•
Managing assigned technical tasks efficiently.
•
Providing technical and logistical advice to senior management.
•
Creating test plans and methods to optimize testing configurations.
•
Developing new measurement techniques for testing latest COTS equipment.
•
Managing the operational status of TEMPEST cell test equipment and documentation.
•
Assisting in scheduling and tracking CSSC activities.
•
Establishing quality control inspections within the TEMPEST sub-section.
•
Investigating new equipment and training possibilities.
•
Reporting TEMPEST results and maintaining a database of test certificates.
•
Demonstrating work-related functions and providing familiarization to less experienced technicians.
•
Representing the CSSC in NATO TEMPEST Symposiums and conferences.
•
Performing mandatory electrical safety inspections for compliance.
