You will take ownership of the product-market fit strategy for a deep-tech startup developing a next-generation deposition platform for semiconductor thin films. Your role involves connecting thin-film deposition technology to current and future applications within the semiconductor industry.

You will define the materials, films, and applications to concentrate on for pilot applications of the deposition platform. Additionally, you will establish the materials characterization pipeline necessary for supporting pilot and fab qualification of the deposited thin films. Collaborating closely with the CTO, mechanical engineers, and plasma process engineers, you will leverage your materials science expertise to correlate deposited film properties with plasma and process conditions, influencing full-system architecture decisions.

This position is set within an early-stage startup environment, requiring readiness for ambiguity, tight schedules, shifting priorities, rapid iteration, and direct collaboration with the CTO, while also taking on broader responsibilities that influence the final product-market fit.
