As an Automation Project Engineer, you will serve as the technical link between our internal teams and external automation partners, directly influencing the success of our automation roadmap over the next five years. Your contributions will lead to significant improvements in production efficiency, product quality, and scalable manufacturing capacity.

Your Impact

You will ensure that each automated system is robust, validated, and fully integrated into our production environment, helping us achieve long-term operational cost savings and improved workplace safety.

What You’ll Take On

In this role, you will:

•

Author comprehensive User Requirement Specifications (URS) with detailed mechanical performance criteria.

•

Define mechanical interfaces between automated stations, including part transfer mechanisms and thermal management requirements.

•

Review and technically challenge machine-builder designs for various components involved in automation.

•

Specify machine safety systems according to international standards.

•

Conduct critical design reviews of mechanical designs from machine builders.

•

Review and approve GD&T drawings, ensuring standards for manufacturability and assembly are met.

•

Evaluate mechanical designs for manufacturability and automated assembly.

•

Develop and execute mechanical test protocols for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).

•

Collaborate with Contract Manufacturers for equipment Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and Validation Testing.

•

Establish preventive maintenance schedules based on mechanical wear analysis.

•

Create mechanical systems and acceptance criteria for Contract Manufacturers.

•

Maintain machine performance dashboards tracking OEE, MTTR, and relevant mechanical performance indicators.
