Account Director - Airline Partnerships at Get-e

Your job involves owning and growing our most important airline partnerships. At Get-e, we're experiencing rapid growth, with airlines, assistance companies, and travel partners worldwide utilizing our platform for ground transport and hotel bookings. Our business development team is continuously acquiring new airline clients, and we need someone to enhance these partnerships and ensure their longevity.

The Role

As Account Director, you will manage a portfolio of key airline accounts, focusing on retention and growth targets. You will represent Get-e to your clients, leading quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and fostering relationships from ground operations to senior leadership. Your role is not just about maintaining accounts; you will actively seek new opportunities within each account, shaping your own strategies and account plans.

Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of key airline accounts, ensuring retention and net revenue growth.

•

Develop and implement account plans for each client, identifying expansion opportunities and risk mitigation strategies.

•

Identify and secure expansions, including new stations, routes, additional services, renewals, and renegotiations.

•

Build and maintain relationships at all levels within each airline, from ground operations to procurement and leadership.

•

Travel regularly to meet clients in their locations.

•

Lead QBRs, covering service performance, roadmap, and commercial development.

•

Monitor client health, identify churn risks and growth signals early, and take appropriate actions.

•

Serve as the first point of contact for escalations from airlines, collaborating with Client Care and Operations to resolve issues.

•

Depending on experience, contribute to Get-e’s broader account management strategy.

•

Ensure smooth onboarding of newly acquired airline clients, collaborating with business development colleagues.

•

Communicate recurring client themes to product and service teams to drive improvements.

Requirements

•

7+ years in key account management, client service, or commercial roles within the airline/aviation sector.

•

Proven track record of retaining and expanding enterprise accounts, with quantifiable results.

•

Experience in negotiating contracts and renewals with procurement and senior stakeholders.

•

Confident in client interactions, adept at handling escalations, and proactive about improvements.

•

Comfortable working with data to inform decisions on account performance and service KPIs.

•

Strong written and spoken English; additional languages are advantageous.

•

Structured and commercial mindset, capable of creating practical account plans.

•

Background in aviation, assistance, or travel technology is a significant advantage.
