We are expanding our European Finance team and seeking a Credit Controller to oversee the DACH wholesale portfolio, ensuring healthy cash flow and robust customer relationships.

The Role

As a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Controller, you will manage the entire credit management process for our DACH customer portfolio. Your responsibilities include collections, customer accounts, credit limits, payment allocations, disputes, order releases, and credit risk management, all while providing excellent customer service and collaborating with Sales, Customer Service, Logistics, and Finance. This operational role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced international setting, balancing customer communication, financial accuracy, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

•

Manage the complete credit control process for the DACH customer portfolio.

•

Monitor aged debt and proactively collect outstanding balances through reminders, statements, and customer correspondence.

•

Negotiate payment arrangements and monitor agreed payment plans.

•

Resolve customer disputes and outstanding account queries.

•

Maintain detailed customer communication and collection records.

•

Apply and remove delivery blocks according to company credit policies.

•

Release customer orders and pick tickets following payment or approved credit limits.

•

Manage franchise shipment releases within approved credit parameters.

•

Request, process, and monitor customer credit limits and insurance approvals.

•

Support customers transitioning to proforma payment terms as needed.

•

Allocate incoming customer payments accurately and resolve unapplied cash and on-account balances.

•

Process manual credit notes for approved customer claims.

•

Prepare proforma invoices and release associated orders upon payment.

•

Maintain accurate customer master data and account records.

•

Support Atradius credit insurance activities for customer accounts.

•

Prepare documentation for legal collections and judicial actions as required.

•

Perform complex customer reconciliations, including rebates and VAT adjustments.

•

Reconcile intercompany balances where applicable.

•

Process customer chargebacks and related credit adjustments.

•

Collaborate with Customer Service, Logistics, Sales, and Finance to efficiently resolve customer issues.

•

Review logistics release requests in line with agreed service levels.

•

Maintain regular communication with customers and internal stakeholders.

•

Identify opportunities to enhance credit control processes and customer experience.
