Facilitator - EASE and BeThere (Tigrinya Speakers Only) at War Child

Your mission is to implement War Child's mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) interventions for youth and caregivers in refugee shelters across the Netherlands. Facilitators work in pairs and receive training and supervision from War Child's trainers. You will support the scaling of the EASE and BeThere interventions.

War Child Netherlands (WCNL) is part of the War Child Alliance, dedicated to providing MHPSS support to children and families affected by conflict. The organization has developed evidence-based interventions to help improve the mental health of those in need.

The Role

As a facilitator, your responsibilities will include:

Implementing EASE and BeThere projects in refugee shelters.

•

Participating in training and team meetings.

•

Supporting project coordinators in planning and preparation.

•

Communicating with residents about War Child's interventions.

•

Mobilizing participants for meetings and activities.

•

Organizing logistics for EASE and BeThere meetings.

•

Conducting assessments and facilitating meetings according to protocols.

•

Gathering feedback from participants to inform program adaptations.

•

Collecting quality of care data throughout the interventions.

Requirements

•

Fluency in Tigrinya.

•

Professional background in psychology, social sciences, or mental health.

•

Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience working with youth and caregivers.

•

Proficiency in English.

•

Strong facilitation and interpersonal skills.

•

Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly.

•

Passion for supporting young people and their families.

•

Availability for 3 days a week, with flexibility in scheduling.

What We Offer

•

Salary scale 7 (€3298 - €4100 based on full-time).

•

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands.

•

One-year zero-hours contract with expected workload of 20–30 hours per week, with potential for a fixed-hours contract.
