The Role

As the Principal Product Manager for AI, you will own the vision, roadmap, and go-to-market strategy for new agentic AI capabilities. Your focus will be on customer outcomes, defining product requirements, and collaborating with engineering and data science to deliver value swiftly. You will work alongside a small, dedicated team to simplify complex data and workflows into effective products that enhance retail operations.

Responsibilities

• Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI solutions targeting out-of-stocks, shrink, and waste.
• Develop problem statements, PRDs, and success metrics, prioritizing features for effective iterations.
• Collaborate with engineering and data science to scope experiments and ensure product reliability.
• Engage with customers to design pilots and work with sales and marketing on go-to-market strategies.
• Model unit economics and ROI, setting financial targets for performance reporting.
• Ensure data readiness by assessing quality and implementing necessary guardrails.
• Work cross-functionally to bring products from concept to launch.

Requirements

• 6+ years of product management experience in B2B or enterprise software, with 3+ years in AI/ML products.
• Proven track record of delivering AI/ML products with measurable financial outcomes.
• Proficiency in data analysis and evaluation of model performance.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams to launch and scale products.
• Ability to present business cases to executive audiences.
• Knowledge of complex enterprise sales cycles, including security and procurement.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and commercial audiences.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical or business field.

Nice to Have

• Experience in grocery, retail, or supply chain operations.
• Familiarity with agentic AI systems and demand forecasting products.
• Background in management consulting or business analytics.

Instacart offers competitive compensation and benefits tailored to the location of our employees. This remote role has a base pay range of CAD $223,000 to $235,500, depending on location and experience. We are currently hiring in Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia.
