The Role
As a Principal R&D Engineer at Medtronic Articulating Technologies, you will have the opportunity to develop advanced medical devices to enable next-generation endoscopic therapeutic interventions and minimally invasive surgery. In a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, you will work on the design, development, and testing of surgical instruments and related manufacturing processes. We are seeking an experienced Principal Engineer to provide technical leadership across the design and development of medical devices.
This role combines deep engineering expertise with project management and cross-functional leadership, ensuring that products are developed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable regulatory and quality requirements. The Principal Engineer will serve as a senior technical authority, guiding multidisciplinary teams through product development from concept and feasibility through design, verification, and validation. The role requires strong technical judgment, structured project management skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders across Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Clinical, and Commercial functions.
