The Role

As a Project Controls Engineer, you will provide essential project controls support to ensure successful project delivery. Collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders, you will develop and maintain cost estimates, project schedules, and risk management plans, contributing to the efficient execution of projects within the Infrastructure department.

Responsibilities

• Develop a project controls mindset focused on Risk Management.
• Advise on, develop, and maintain project risk registers.
• Facilitate risk management meetings and report to internal project leads and clients.
• Participate in quantitative risk analysis (QRA) processes for schedule and cost risks.
• Ensure all measures are taken to complete projects within budget and time constraints, emphasizing prioritized objectives.
• Support the Project Controls Manager in maintaining project control for successful goal achievement.
• Collaborate in the development and implementation of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS).
• Apply first principles estimating and prepare capital cost estimates in line with industry standards.
• Analyze project changes, assess costs and estimates from suppliers and contractors, and provide technical estimating support.
• Implement Project Planning & Scheduling strategies and maintain overall integration schedules.
• Prepare regular reports to identify improvement areas and trends, ensuring contractor schedules' integrity.
• Conduct critical path analysis and prepare reports for benchmarking and trend identification.
• Work closely with the project team to manage costs and schedules effectively.

• Experience in project controls and risk management.
• Strong analytical skills in cost and schedule management.
• Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
• Ability to coach and mentor junior staff.
