Ruby Labs is a leading tech company focused on developing innovative consumer products across health, education, and entertainment sectors. We are currently seeking a QA Engineer to join our team and ensure the quality of our rapidly growing D2C product in the LegalTech/Utilities space.

The Role

In this hands-on, manual QA-first position, you will work closely with Product and Engineering teams to guarantee that our product is stable, reliable, and performs as expected across different browsers and devices. We are looking for a quality owner who understands user journeys, identifies risks early, and proactively addresses issues before they affect customers.

Responsibilities

Strong understanding of modern web application architecture and browser behavior.
Knowledge of authentication mechanisms, including magic link/passwordless authentication and OAuth/SSO concepts.
Experience testing subscription-based products, including billing flows and access control.
Familiarity with release cycles, regression testing, and risk-based QA.
Proficient in using BrowserStack or equivalent for cross-browser and cross-OS testing.
Ability to conduct mobile emulation and real-device testing, along with network inspection and basic console error analysis.
Clear communication of bugs and findings, including steps to reproduce and expected vs actual behavior.

Requirements

Manual QA-first mindset with a strong attention to detail.
Ability to think in real user scenarios and identify areas prone to breakage.
Technical awareness to read and understand API responses (REST/JSON) and common frontend issues.
Proactive mindset to flag risks and potential issues early.
Experience with D2C SaaS products and exposure to A/B testing is a plus.
