Nearfield Instruments (NFI) is a rapidly growing high-tech scale-up established in 2016. We specialize in designing, developing, integrating, marketing, and servicing advanced metrology machines that empower leading chipmakers to enhance production yields and functionality of microchips, ultimately resulting in smaller and more powerful consumer electronics. With around 400 creative minds in science and technology, we are developing a revolutionary high throughput Scanning Probe Microscopy system.

The Role

As a Receptionist and Office Assistant, you will play a key role in providing a warm and professional welcome to our employees and visitors. You will also offer administrative support to the Facility team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, ensuring the smooth operation of our offices on a daily basis. This role is far from the typical desk-bound reception position; each day presents new challenges and variety.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and receive visitors
• Handle all incoming telephone calls
• Maintain pantries and meeting rooms
• Support and facilitate the onboarding of new employees
• Provide administrative support to the Facility Team
• Order and manage lunch for meetings and daily staff
• Order office supplies, groceries, and gifts
• Perform other common ad hoc activities
• Foster a positive atmosphere in the office for colleagues and guests

Requirements

• Approximately 3 years of relevant work experience
• Minimum MBO working and thinking level
• Advanced MS Office skills
• Independent, resourceful, and service-minded
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, both spoken and written
• Representative demeanor
• Positive attitude, good sense of humor, and strong social skills
• Experience with BHV / First Aid is a plus
