As a Risk Analyst at Blockrise, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our risk framework. This position offers hands-on experience in regulatory risk management within a growing digital asset firm, providing you with real responsibilities and direct involvement in the work.

The Role

You will be responsible for executing various risk management tasks, ensuring that analytical work is completed effectively. Your day-to-day activities will include:

Responsibilities

• Maintain the risk register by keeping entries current, tracking status, and identifying emerging risks.
• Execute risk assessments, conducting both periodic and event-driven evaluations across operational and ICT risk domains using quantitative and qualitative methodologies.
• Prepare materials for the Risk Committee, including agenda packing and writing risk updates.
• Track treatment plans from agreement to completion, following up with owners and escalating issues as necessary.
• Support regulatory reporting cycles to DNB and AFM by gathering evidence and structuring submissions.
• Develop risk scenarios and controls to support operations and business strategy.
• Design and implement risk awareness campaigns and training for staff to foster a risk-aware culture.
• Contribute to the ongoing DORA implementation, particularly focusing on ICT risk management requirements.

Requirements

• 2 to 4 years of experience in risk management, preferably within a regulated financial institution.
• Proficient in risk assessment methodologies, including likelihood and impact scoring.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as DORA, MiCAR, Wft, or Wwft.
• Understanding of the three lines of defence model and the role of a second-line risk analyst.
• Experience in maintaining risk registers and producing risk reports.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work with data and derive actionable insights.
• Excellent written English; Dutch is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, risk management, or a related field. FRM or PRM certifications are advantageous but not required.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where processes are still being developed.

Nice to Have

• Experience with crypto-assets, custody, or DeFi risk.
• Familiarity with GRC tools like Vanta.
• Experience with ICT risk assessments under DORA Articles 5 to 15.
