We are looking for a Sales Development Representative to join our Local Independent Grocery team within Strategic Partnerships. In this role, you will identify, contact, and qualify independent retailers as potential partners for Instacart, while managing leads through the sales pipeline.

The Role

As a Sales Development Representative, you will engage independent retailers to join the Instacart Marketplace, manage the end-to-end sales cycle for small opportunities, and establish meaningful relationships through cold calls and emails. Your problem-solving and negotiation skills will be key in driving progress toward partnership goals.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and engage independent retailers for the Instacart Marketplace.
• Manage the full sales cycle for small opportunities.
• Use cold calls and emails to identify new opportunities and drive value.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
• Prioritize tasks effectively to support a strong go-to-market strategy.
• Collaborate with the team while working independently to achieve objectives.
• Adapt to changes and demonstrate a desire to learn and grow in sales.
• Develop sales collateral and case studies to communicate Instacart’s value proposition.

Requirements

• Previous experience in sales or business development.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of the grocery industry and market trends.
• Experience selling SaaS solutions.
• Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
