In your role as a Senior BI/Data Engineer at ACT, you will be instrumental in modernizing and scaling our enterprise Data Platform. You will combine hands-on engineering with technical ownership, designing reliable and scalable data solutions across various domains such as data integration, modeling, analytics engineering, and platform architecture.
The Role
You will help shape our platform roadmap and engineering standards, focusing on architecture, automation, performance, security, and cost efficiency. Microsoft Fabric plays a crucial role in our modernization journey, alongside technologies like Databricks where they provide added value. Additionally, you will explore practical applications of Generative AI in development, documentation, and platform operations.
Your responsibilities include:

Continuously improve key components of ACT’s Data Platform architecture and engineering standards.
•
Design and implement integrations for new source systems, building reliable and maintainable data pipelines.
•
Develop, optimize, and operate data pipelines and orchestration using Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Functions, and Logic Apps.
•
Plan and execute data migrations with validation, reconciliation, data-quality controls, and operational monitoring.
•
Contribute to the modernization of the Data Platform using Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and other modern technologies.
•
Develop and maintain trusted semantic models for scalable Power BI reporting and emerging AI use cases.
•
Translate business requirements into sustainable technical solutions, clearly communicating design choices to stakeholders.
•
Demonstrate data and analytics solutions to business stakeholders and support adoption through documentation and knowledge sharing.
