We are looking for a Senior Full Stack PHP Developer to join our Digital Products team and lead our development function.

The Role

In this senior, hands-on role, you will support the Head of Digital Products and oversee the development of our revenue-generating websites, applications, and MarTech tools. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality development, shaping technical direction, and guiding both internal and external developers.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction to internal developers, external agencies, and freelance resources, establishing clear development standards and coding principles.
• Lead technical discussions, resolve development issues, and ensure decisions are aligned with business priorities.
• Translate business requirements into clear technical options, recommendations, and delivery plans.
• Manage day-to-day technical relationships with development suppliers, ensuring clear briefs and priorities.
• Review supplier proposals and estimates to ensure alignment with long-term platform direction.
• Maintain development governance standards across WordPress, PHP, Laravel, and related platforms.
• Design, develop, and deploy scalable PHP applications, writing clean and well-documented code.
• Optimize WordPress applications for performance, availability, and security.

Requirements

• Right to work in your respective country.
• Relevant degree or professional qualification in software development.
• At least 7 years of experience in full stack PHP development, with strong hands-on experience in WordPress, Laravel, Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP.
• Experience with frontend frameworks like React or Vue.js and understanding of WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards is desirable.
• Strong technical leadership, problem-solving, communication, and prioritization skills.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, CI/CD, automated testing, and WordPress security tools.

What We Offer

• Competitive salary between £45,000 and £50,000.
