The Senior Process Engineer plays a crucial role in improving process engineering within McDermott by utilizing best practices and addressing both internal and external challenges. You will act as a mentor to junior engineers while tackling complex problems to enhance products and services.

•
Conduct conceptual, FEED, studies, and detailed analyses and designs according to project specifications, design codes, and standards.
•
Lead small project engineering teams as the Lead Engineer.
•
Utilize knowledge and skills in various standard and non-standard situations.
•
Prepare detailed design calculations, analyses, reports, and procedures.
•
Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and budgets, planning short-term activities.
•
Communicate complex issues clearly to ensure understanding.
•
Familiarize yourself with project scope, specifications, schedules, and inter-discipline requirements, addressing concerns proactively.
•
Identify scope changes and initiate change notifications with supporting documentation.
•
Provide support for Variation Orders.
•
Collaborate with all disciplines to develop clash-free designs.
•
Coordinate with other departments for input on designs and drawings.
•
Maintain close coordination with engineering disciplines, Planning, and Project Management Teams.
•
Document significant communications and forward them to the Discipline Lead Engineer and Discipline Manager.
•
Assist in preparing estimates for bid proposals, including technical query reviews and work-hour estimates.
•
Raise technical queries for missing information and clarify work scope while adhering to McDermott procedures and standards.
•
Prepare engineering design basis, philosophies, and technical specifications as needed.
•
Participate in finalizing deliverables lists, ensuring compliance with specifications.
•
Attend project review, vendor, engineering meetings, and offshore site surveys as required.
•
Provide technical direction and review designs produced by Designers related to Process Engineering.
•
Prepare and review design reports and procedures.
•
Assist other disciplines by providing necessary design inputs.
•
Review vendor and subcontractor submissions for compliance with project specifications.
•
Guide less experienced engineers on procedures, standards, and technical evaluations.
•
Check engineering work performed by others within the discipline.
•
Be aware of costs related to your work and the discipline.
•
Prepare and check key deliverables such as process simulations, flow diagrams, and equipment datasheets.
•
Provide process assistance to other disciplines for layout reviews, safety studies, and equipment datasheets.
•
Assist in closing out HAZOP action items.
•
Participate in technical audits on engineering deliverables and vendor documents.
