The Role

As a Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Scrum team, conducting requirements analysis, manual and automated testing, and product releases. You will develop test documentation and automate test cases using Python and Playwright. Your role will also involve functional and exploratory testing, maintaining the automation framework, and participating in quality processes and CI/CD improvements.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in the Scrum team
• Conduct requirements analysis, manual and automated testing, and product releases
• Develop test documentation (checklists, test cases, quality reports) for both manual and automated testing
• Automate test cases based on the existing framework
• Perform functional and exploratory testing, focusing on frontend, backend/API, and message queues
• Execute all general types of testing
• Maintain and expand the automation testing framework
• Participate in testing tools development (including Mocks)
• Contribute to quality processes architecture, estimations, and test case design
• Engage in CI/CD process improvement
• Coordinate work with teammates and other QA engineers
• Evaluate product quality and influence processes to enhance quality assurance

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, both manual and automation testing
• Experience in functional/non-functional testing (greybox, integration, UI, acceptance, exploratory testing)
• Deep understanding of QA approaches, testing principles, and types
• Exceptional quality of test documentation
• Strong grasp of Scrum principles and/or other agile frameworks
• Excellent understanding of the SDLC from requirements analysis to application monitoring
• Proficiency in Python-based testing frameworks (pytest, behave, etc.)
• Familiarity with modern QA practices, technologies, and processes
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery systems
• Knowledge of REST API/Message Queues testing
• Good SQL skills
• Experience with ELK, Sentry, and other monitoring/alerting tools
• Independence, proactivity, and great communication skills
• Ability to quickly learn new concepts
• Proficient in spoken and written English and Russian

Nice to Have

• Experience in load/stress/performance testing
• Familiarity with Kubernetes
• Background in Fintech, Blockchain, or other complex domains with heavy business logic and integrations
