We are looking for a strategic and collaborative Senior Value Advisor to join our Intercompany team. In this role, you will serve as a domain expert, working closely with sales, product, and customer success teams to address complex financial challenges for prospective customers.

The Role

As a Senior Value Advisor, you will act as the lead technical expert during the sales process, shaping solution strategies for high-impact opportunities. You will partner with Account Executives to qualify customer needs and demonstrate the value of the BlackLine Intercompany platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer financial landscapes, including ERP systems (especially SAP), data governance, and compliance.
• Design and present tailored solution architectures and custom demonstrations to address intercompany challenges.
• Translate customer business goals into scalable, compliant, and automated solution blueprints.
• Collaborate with Implementation, Partner, and Customer Success teams for a seamless transition from pre-sale to post-sale.
• Provide guidance on best practices for integrations, data management, and change management.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite leaders and finance, tax, and IT executives on automation trends and financial transformation.
• Share insights with the Product Management team to inform future platform direction.
• Contribute to thought leadership through webinars, events, and advisory activities.

Requirements

• Significant experience in pre-sales, solution architecture, or consulting within the SaaS or ERP ecosystem.
• Deep expertise in Intercompany Accounting, Financial Close, or related Tax/Treasury operations.
• Strong understanding of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and data integration principles.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes for diverse audiences.
• Proven success in designing complex financial or accounting solutions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• A collaborative mindset with experience working across multiple departments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA is a plus).
