The backend that powers it is managed by a three-person engineering team, utilizing a JavaScript stack on Google Cloud, with a data layer that is evolving rapidly.

About the Company

My client is a growing tech scale-up with a team of 12 people, completely revolutionizing the way companies communicate. They have developed an innovative no-code story CMS that allows clients to build interactive stories for recruitment, onboarding, and marketing. The platform is accessed by hundreds of thousands of users monthly and is on the verge of a major technological renewal (V2).

The Role

You will work alongside the founder, another senior developer, and a Product Manager. The stack is built on Node.js, React, and GCP, with a significant transition to Next.js and full integration of AI technologies (like the Vercel AI SDK) to enhance the platform's functionality and user experience. Your role will be pivotal in strengthening the backend and ensuring the product's scalability.

Responsibilities

• Work across the full stack, primarily focusing on backend and data.
• Design and build APIs and backend services in Nest.js and Node.js.
• Develop integrations with external platforms such as CRM, LMS, and analytics tools.
• Implement data pipelines and statistical processing to support the product.
• Spend about 30% of your time on full-stack development, shipping features in React from database to UI.
• Collaborate closely with the frontend developer, product manager, and Customer Success team.
• Participate in client conversations when technical depth is required.
• Utilize AI tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot to enhance productivity.
• Engage in architecture discussions collaboratively.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of Node.js (Nest.js is a plus) and React/Next.js.
• Experience in building APIs and working with databases and caching solutions.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure), Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Affinity with data: integrations, analytics, or statistical processing.
• AI-native developer: daily use of tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
