The Role

As a Staff Field Engineer, you will work closely with our Presales Solution Engineering team, Product, and Marketing to ensure they have the necessary tools and support to close business. You will be recognized as a top performer, operating with minimal supervision on strategic engagements and mentoring Senior Field Engineers and Solution Engineers.

Responsibilities

•

Advise on and support Grafana's strategic deals and customer engagements, collaborating with Solution Engineers and Observability Architects.

•

Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in one area of the Grafana Platform, building new reference architectures and overcoming competitive objections.

•

Craft and deliver compelling value-based stories to assist the sales team in closing deals.

•

Create and curate technical training content for various product areas, ensuring alignment with the product roadmap.

•

Maintain a live production environment for demos, workshops, and POV infrastructure, ensuring reliability and security.

•

Influence product direction by helping customers adopt new technologies and representing Field Engineering in product planning cycles.

•

Present at Strategic Marketing events as a Grafana ambassador.

•

Provide technical guidance to Solution Engineers and customers, and contribute to product documentation.

•

Mentor Senior and Staff Solution Engineers and Field Engineers.
