De rol

In this role, you will manage a key segment of our Vegetation Intelligence product area, transforming remote sensing data into actionable insights for utilities. This foundational product is already in use by customers and plays a vital role in preventing outages and wildfires. Your responsibilities will include enhancing our machine learning detection models and translating their outputs into reliable risk data for our clients.

Verantwoordelijkheden

• Own the Vegetation Intelligence roadmap, from ML models to customer-facing products.
• Advance detection models and integrate their outputs into broader risk models.
• Conduct user research to ensure product priorities align with customer needs.
• Transition the roadmap from a technical focus to one driven by customer insights while maintaining technical integrity.
• Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to translate model capabilities into product value.
• Gather feedback from customers, such as arborists, to enhance model performance.
• Maintain clear communication with the product and engineering teams regarding trade-offs and priorities.
• Contribute to Overstory's overall product strategy to align Vegetation Insights with broader objectives.

Vereisten

• 8+ years of product management experience with a proven track record in product delivery.
• Hands-on experience with machine learning products, including model development and evaluation.
• Ability to shift from a technical to a customer-driven roadmap through user research.
• Experience in fast-paced startup environments, comfortable with ambiguity.
• Proven background in building B2B products that leverage data for customer decision-making.
• Strong communication skills to clarify technical trade-offs and align teams.
• Experience in leading product strategy and building consensus across teams.
