Sustainable Cleaning Products NV is seeking a fractional Strategic Warehouse Project Lead to develop and evaluate strategic options for an owned ~1,000 sq m warehouse in the Amsterdam port area, secure board-level decisions that balance commercial outcomes with B Corp-aligned sustainability commitments (including workforce/social considerations), and execute the selected path with minimal operational disruption.
Scope of Work & Responsibilities
•
Lead the comprehensive warehouse strategy and delivery from options development through decision-making and initial execution steps for the Amsterdam port-area footprint (~1,000 sq m).
•
Develop strategic options for the owned warehouse, exploring scenarios such as sell-and-leaseback, sale to a 3PL, exit and move to 3PL, and other viable alternatives.
•
Create a structured, comparable options assessment covering financials (capex/opex, cash impacts), operations (service levels, continuity), risk, timeline, and sustainability/B Corp considerations (including social/workforce impacts).
•
Prepare decision-grade materials for senior leadership and the board, including a board deck, a robust financial model, and a written recommendation with clear trade-offs and assumptions.
•
Design and facilitate a decision workshop to align stakeholders, surface constraints, and document decisions with clear next steps.
•
Plan and deliver early execution milestones post-decision, including tasks like 3PL sourcing/RFP, broker engagement, negotiation strategy, transition planning, workforce/social impact planning, and an implementation roadmap.
•
Establish governance, stakeholder cadence, and documentation to minimize ambiguity, prevent rework, and maintain momentum towards outcomes.
•
Carefully manage risks and changes to ensure minimal disruption to ongoing operations during the project's progression.
