The Role
As a Web Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining web applications that support high-traffic e-commerce scenarios. You will collaborate closely with backend engineers to deliver scalable frontend solutions and ensure a seamless user experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web applications and user-facing features.
- Participate in requirement discussions, technical design, and code reviews.
- Optimize frontend performance, stability, and usability across browsers and devices.
- Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs and ensure reliable data flow.
- Deliver features according to requirements and agreed delivery timelines.
- Research and experiment with new technologies to enhance frontend engineering practices.
- Work onsite in London, UK.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field.
- 3+ years of frontend web development experience using React or similar frameworks.
- Advanced knowledge in Javascript/Typescript, HTML/CSS.
- Understanding of modern frontend principles, including responsive design and component-based architecture.
- Solid programming foundation with attention to code quality and maintainability.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and Chinese.
Nice to Have
- Experience with e-commerce or high-traffic consumer platforms.
- Familiarity with modern frontend build tools and testing practices.
- Experience working with international or distributed teams.
